Zinc PCA is doing the real work here. Zinc plays a documented role in regulating the enzyme that drives oil production at the sebaceous gland, and the PCA form is significantly more bioavailable than zinc oxide or zinc sulfate. Of every ingredient in this shampoo, that one is doing the headline lifting on oil control.

Boswellia serrata and ginger root extract are the anti-inflammatory pair. Most oily scalps run slightly inflamed. Itchy, sensitive, sometimes a bit flaky. That inflammation is part of what keeps the over-production cycle going in the first place. Boswellic acids and gingerol compounds have both been studied for inhibiting the same inflammatory pathways that mainstream anti-dandruff actives target, just from a plant source.

Wakame seaweed (Undaria pinnatifida) supplies the trace minerals your scalp actually uses for routine maintenance. Iodine, magnesium, more zinc, a spectrum of amino acids. It is not a quick fix. It is the steady input that supports everything else.

The surfactant system pairs Sodium Coco-Sulfate with four milder plant-derived cleansers: Coco-Glucoside, Coco-Betaine, and two methyl glucamides from sunflower and coconut. Cleans thoroughly without the strip-and-rebound cycle that single-surfactant SLS formulas create.
