Caffeine and pea peptides are the headline pair. Caffeine in shampoo has been studied head-to-head against minoxidil with comparable hair-count results (Bussoletti et al., 2010). It stimulates circulation at the follicle and may also counter the DHT signalling that drives follicular miniaturisation. Pisum Sativum peptide is a small protein fragment studied for supporting hair density at the anchoring level. Together they go after the root environment, which is where thinning actually starts.

Nettle, oak bark, and licorice root work on the scalp itself. Nettle (Urtica Dioica) has been studied for inhibiting the enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT, the form that drives follicular miniaturisation. Oak bark (Quercus Robur) brings tannins that gently tighten the scalp surface and cut sebum pooling at the follicle. The surfactant system pairs Sodium Coco-Sulfate with four milder plant-derived cleansers: Coco-Glucoside, Coco-Betaine, and two methyl glucamides from sunflower and coconut.
